Have another question? Our support team is here for you to help you in any way we can.
Are your products safe for guitars with a nitrocellulose lacquer finish?

Our composite material will not eat into the nitro of your guitar like most foams and rubbers do. Fender, Gibson, and Martin all use our products in their showrooms and at trade shows on both their standard and high-nitro finished guitars. However, there are some things that are out of our control that prevent us from putting an unconditional guarantee that no marking will ever occur.

  • If an issue does arise with the finish, there is no definitive way for us to tell if the marks were caused by our products, or if they were from a previously used product by another manufacturer.

  • Nitro finish remains partially a liquid for its lifetime. Any significant pressure on the finish for extended periods of time can result in pressure marks that look almost like a smear. This is worsened if the guitar was not given proper cure time when the finish was applied.

  • If you have used guitar polish, make sure that you wipe it off before using our products. There is conflicting information on the internet as to whether polish is ever necessary. In addition, do not use any chemical cleaners on our padding material. Water is fine if needed.

  • Storing your guitar in direct sunlight can cause big issues, regardless of what material is being used in resting the guitar.

Our products are still made with the safest material on the market for nitro finished guitars, and thousands of people trust their guitars to our hangers every day. If you have a nitro white Gibson or Epiphone, we recommend using one of our white yokes for these extremely color sensitive finishes. If you decide to choose our products to display your guitars, we suggest checking your guitars frequently for peace of mind and reassurance of their safety.

If you have more questions, give us a call at 1-888-455-6628 and ask for Travis. He’ll gladly discuss any nitrocellulose-related questions in further depth.

Where are your products made?

Our products are American made from start to finish, right here in the great state of Wisconsin!

Can I hang both electric and acoustic guitars?

Yes. The pivoting cradles of our hangers allow you to hang a wide variety of acoustic, electric, and bass guitars. We encourage you to measure the width of your guitar’s neck before choosing the appropriate yoke. If your guitar has a wider neck – including classical and bass guitars – we recommend the original CC01.

How much does shipping cost?

We offer free shipping on orders over $50. If the order total is less than $50, regular shipping charges apply.

Free shipping applies to retail sales only, and does not include distributor or dealer sales, nor does it apply to additional handling charges for oversized boxes. All online orders are shipped via USPS Mail or UPS Ground service, unless otherwise specified.

What is your return policy?

We are dedicated to creating instrument displays that are versatile, durable, and of the highest quality available. If you would like to return a display fixture for non-warranty reasons and be issued a refund, follow the instructions on our Returns page.

Non-warranty related shipping costs come at the customer’s expense. We will inspect the product for damage once we have received it. If the fixture is not returned in new, sellable condition, there will be a 10-20% restocking fee deducted from the item’s refund. When a refund amount is determined, allow for a few days for funds to transfer.

Can I hang an instrument with an asymmetrical headstock in a String Swing hanger?

Yes. Our mounts adapt to guitars of all headstock styles. Each String Swing hanger comes complete with a pivoting yoke feature, which is designed to adjust to the unique shape of your headstock. This allows your instrument to hang perfectly straight without uneven stress on either side, while still ensuring it stays safe and secure in its cradle.

How much weight can your slatwall hold?

Our slatwall can hold 50 lbs per wall stud that it’s attached to. No more than 3 guitars on a 2 foot rail.

What is your lifetime warranty?

Your display unit is warrantied against defects in workmanship and materials for a lifetime, provided the following:

  • The unit is purchased from an authorized dealer or directly from the manufacturer.
  • The unit is used for what its name implies it should be used for.
  • The unit has not been altered in any way, or damaged through user error or mishandling.
  • The unit is properly installed as stated in the provided installation instructions (the warranty is provided only to the original purchaser).

You can read more about our lifetime warranty on our Warranty Statement.

Guitar Storage Solutions

The foundation of our brand, String Swing offers the best guitar storage solutions to mount, hang, or stand any number of guitars. Our products are guaranteed to keep your instrument safe and secure while also providing easy access and an appealing display of your favorite guitar or prized collection. Optimize any space with efficient designs including deep cradled wall hangers and folding floor racks.

Protecting Your Guitar

When storing your guitar, or any instrument for that matter, safe storage is key. The environment in which you store your guitar will make all the difference. According to Fender, ideal conditions for guitar storage include a temperature between 66-77 °F (19-25 °C) and a 40-50 percent humidity level. You can even purchase affordable humidifiers for your guitar room if you have trouble keeping a consistent humidity level.

Using high-quality materials is another essential element of safe guitar storage. Many cheap wall hangers will feature foam or rubber padding, both of which can eat into the nitro of your guitar and damage the exterior. Trusted with over 10 million guitars, String Swing products utilize the best materials to preserve your valuable instrument.

On top of the best materials, our team of guitar enthusiasts has created some of the most innovative configurations and designs to store your guitar safely. Our hangers and racks are designed to prevent improper placement and to securely support your guitar headstock.

How to Hang Your Guitar

Hanging your guitar comes with a lot of benefits. Keeping a guitar mounted optimizes wall space in your room while offering convenience and encouraging you to play on a daily basis. It also keeps your guitar secure, avoiding any accidents that can cause punctures or dings.

With easy installation and assembly, hanging a guitar on your wall or racking your guitar on a stand has never been easier. For our hangers, simply choose your wall location and screw it into the wall studs. Drywall anchors are included with all single guitar hangers if a wall stud isn't accessible, but multi guitar racks must be secured to the wall studs. Turn the cradle into the hole of the block until snug and in the correct position. Our guitar stands also feature the necessary hardware and an easy assembly process.
