String Instruments
Every string instrument deserves a home on your wall. We’ve designed hangers for violins, cellos, basses, dulcimers, mandolins and ukuleles, so no part of your ensemble is left out.
With String Swing’s specialized hangers for ukuleles, violins, cellos, and more, you can easily mount any part of your ensemble! Create an eye-catching, accessible display for your instruments that keeps them ready to play when inspiration strikes. Along with convenience and aesthetics, we prioritize safety in every display, making sure each string instrument stays properly seated in its mount.
Thanks to their concave design, every String Swing holder offers secure mounting for your string instruments. Our "keeper" yokes cradle your instrument safely in its rest. We also carry hangers and stands for larger-bodied instruments. Our products are made from cold-rolled steel and are manufactured in-house, ensuring uncompromising quality. Another important storage factor for displaying your stringed musical instrument is maintaining a stable climate. According to Fiddlershop, the right environment for your wooden instrument should be 40-60 percent relative humidity. Staying within these bounds is pivotal for preventing warping. If you live in a dry location, consider investing in a humidifier for your room.
String Swing has a way to mount all your string instruments, keeping your collection organized, accessible, and out of harm’s way. Each hanger is manufactured with safety in mind, featuring rounded, cushioned cradles that prevent slippage and falling. Choose from our catalog to find the perfect mount for your needs. We offer wall mounts for violins and larger bodied instruments like cellos. Or, display your favorite ukulele. Even traditional folk and bluegrass instruments can find a home on your wall, with our Banjo Wall Hanger or a Wooden Dulcimer Hanger.
String Swing hangers are simple to assemble and install. Just locate your wall stud, and screw the display into it. We also include drywall anchors with every single mount in case you can’t find a stud. Twist the yoke into the mounting block until it’s tight and is in the right orientation. Elevate your string instrument storage with high-quality, beautiful, easy-to-assemble wall displays.
Our composite material will not eat into the nitro of your guitar like most foams and rubbers do. Fender, Gibson, and Martin all use our products in their showrooms and at trade shows on both their standard and high-nitro finished guitars. However, there are some things that are out of our control that prevent us from putting an unconditional guarantee that no marking will ever occur.
- If an issue does arise with the finish, there is no definitive way for us to tell if the marks were caused by our products, or if they were from a previously used product by another manufacturer.
- Nitro finish remains partially a liquid for its lifetime. Any significant pressure on the finish for extended periods of time can result in pressure marks that look almost like a smear. This is worsened if the guitar was not given proper cure time when the finish was applied.
- If you have used guitar polish, make sure that you wipe it off before using our products. There is conflicting information on the internet as to whether polish is ever necessary. In addition, do not use any chemical cleaners on our padding material. Water is fine if needed.
- Storing your guitar in direct sunlight can cause big issues, regardless of what material is being used in resting the guitar.
Our products are still made with the safest material on the market for nitro finished guitars, and thousands of people trust their guitars to our hangers every day. If you have a nitro white Gibson or Epiphone, we recommend using one of our white yokes for these extremely color sensitive finishes. If you decide to choose our products to display your guitars, we suggest checking your guitars frequently for peace of mind and reassurance of their safety.
If you have more questions, give us a call at 1-888-455-6628 and ask for Travis. He’ll gladly discuss any nitrocellulose-related questions in further depth.

We are dedicated to creating instrument displays that are versatile, durable, and of the highest quality available. If you would like to return a display fixture for non-warranty reasons and be issued a refund, follow the instructions on our Returns page.
Non-warranty related shipping costs come at the customer’s expense. We will inspect the product for damage once we have received it. If the fixture is not returned in new, sellable condition, there will be a 10-20% restocking fee deducted from the item’s refund. When a refund amount is determined, allow for a few days for funds to transfer.
While we don’t sell individual mounts for bows, many of our string instrument displays come complete with a peg for your bow.
